Today I'm going to tell you why I blog. I've started and rapidly stopped a couple of blogs over the last year or so because I found them a bit self-indulgent. Then when we were planning our wedding, a friend of mine (Legally Alien) suggested that I make a blog for it. I thought this was a great idea, because we had family and friends coming from all over NZ and Oz, and in theory it meant I didn't have to repeat myself dozens of times. That part didn't work out, but it was still a good way for me to get everything down. I chose Blogger because I'm a Google groupie. The blog is still up over here, if you are curious.
After that was wrapped up, I was quite enjoying writing, so I made this blog. Early on in its life we had our honeymoon, so it was a great way to keep people back home informed of what we were getting up to. I envisaged that I would write about things that are important to me, but as I've delved further into the Fatosphere, a lot of my writing has been about that. This blog is still very much a personal blog, but it seems to be slowly evolving into another Fatosphere blog. Right now I'm happy to just let it go where my mind wants to go.
