Postcrossing: Russia

At first glance, when I looked at this postcard I was expecting it to be from Egypt - but no, it's from Russia!  I would never have expected to find a monument like this in Russia.  Apparently it is in Leningrad.

I didn't realise pancakes were the national dish of Russia!  But of course they are not called pancakes - they are called blini.  I like the quote too but I'm not sure where it is from.

The stamp is a painting of what I think is the Kremlin.
